P2P file-sharing dominated the illegal online uses of copyrighted materials since its appearance in 1999. In 2012, Peter concluded a research on this field in a monograph. Six years passed by and it is time to double-check what foreseeable consequences came through and how some other unexpected developments have changed the landscape of copyright law: The volume of unauthorized uses of copyrighted material is still expanding. P2P filesharing, streaming services, upload platforms are driving this development and it is doubtful if private copyright enforcement can effectively tackle the Problem.
